The STEELMAN 1/2-Inch Drive Yellow 65 ft-lb Torque Extension prevents damage by reducing the risk of sheared stud bolts and warped rotors caused by over-tightening lug nuts. This 8-inch extension bar is machined to a maximum torque of 65 ft-lb., When used with an electric or pneumatic impact wrench, it limits the effective output of the wrench. Force above maximum torque will cause the stick to flex and absorb the extra impact. This torque extension is made of resilient chrome molybdenum (Chromoly) steel with a color-coded powder coating for increased corrosion resistance and easy identification.
